What is Arc Privacy?

Arc Privacy is Arc's confidential smart contract engine. It enables opt-in private transactions and smart contracts — teams choose when confidentiality applies rather than defaulting to full transparency or full opacity.

Private contracts can interact as part of broader application flows, and governed access rules allow controlled review when required for audit or compliance — without trusting a single party with full visibility.

What it means for HushCash

Today, HushCash provides app-layer privacy — recipient addresses are hidden in the UI, but on-chain data remains publicly visible. Once Arc Privacy is live, HushCash will route transfers through confidential contracts, making transaction data cryptographically private at the protocol level.
